Job summary

Desert Springs Healthcare in Hobbs, NM seeks a Charge Nurse for 12-hour shifts on a travel (full-time) contract lasting 13 weeks with possible renewal. Start ASAP at a long-term care facility. Willing to train new grads and accept multi-state licenses; competitive wages offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during shift.
• Serve as a resource to staff regarding quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care; administer medications and treatments per policy; follow physician orders if allowed.
• Manage nursing personnel on shift to limit overtime and agency usage.
• Assess staff performance against unit standards and goals.
• Conduct regular shift meetings and provide updates to DON.

Your Responsibilities

• Assesses the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.


• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and provides updates to DON.

Your Qualifications
