Job summary

Los Alamos Wellness & Rehabilitation in New Mexico is seeking compassionate travel nurses for a 12-week contract with renewable terms. Shifts are 12 hours; start ASAP. We welcome multi-state licenses and new graduates who will be trained. On-site interviews are available and a housing stipend is provided to eligible staff.

Pay ranges include $35–$40 per hour for LVN and $45–$50 per hour for RN, with full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN/LPN in state of practice required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification. Multi-state licenses welcome.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality clinical care during supervisory shift and supports resident/family satisfaction.
• Serves as a resource to staff regarding quality of services provided.
• Administers medications and treatments timely and according to policy; transcribes and carries out physician orders where allowed.
• Manages nursing personnel to minimize overtime and agency usage.
• Assesses performance of nursing staff against unit standards and goals.
• Conducts regular shift meetings and provides updates to DON.

• Ensures delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.

• Provide direct resident care when required; Demonstrates the ability to administer medications and treatment timely and according to facility policy; Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Effectively manages nursing personnel on shift to limit use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Assesses the work performance of nursing staff as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.
• Conducts regular staff meetings on each shift and provides updates to DON.

Your Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice, required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).
