Job Summary

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced, diverse clinical environment supporting a variety of diagnosis and acuity levels. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services, supporting various units within the organization, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Valid nursing license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications;
  • 2 years of PCU experience;
  • Location requirements;
  • Relevant educational background;
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with invasive line management;
  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation;
  • IV medication titration;
• Float: Float within scope of practice and below; support within the department and float to partial shifts as needed
• Additional Information: The RN will transport patients throughout the hospital, assist with various operational tasks, and serve as a resource during night shifts. Orientation includes 2 days of hospital orientation and 1 day on the assigned unit. The role involves supporting stable, non-ventilated patients with mixed diagnoses, including respiratory, sepsis, and post‑operative conditions. The RN must call in 30‑45 minutes before each shift to confirm assignments and be punctual. The schedule is provided 3 weeks in advance with no holiday requests; self‑scheduling may be used for days off, with approved time off requests added accordingly.
