Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in a hospital setting. This role involves floating within various hospital units including PCU, Telemetry, Med-Surg, and ED Holding. The position supports the departments clinical operations with patient care duties in a dynamic environment, requiring flexibility and strong clinical skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, scheduled in 3-week cycles, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. The shift times are either 0700-1930 or 1900-0730. Weekend rotation is every other week, with the possibility of some back-to-back weekends. No on-call is expected.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. Minimum of 1 year experience working in Progressive Care Units, Telemetry, or Med-Surg units. Current license and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV medication titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, bipap management, and procedures such as chest tubes, traches, and lumbar drains. EPIC electronic medical records experience is required.
• Additional Information: The position involves a 1-day general hospital orientation, a 1-day unit orientation on the PCU, and a 1-day light unit orientation. Floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required, with notification provided in advance. The role entails responsible documentation and adherence to hospital policies, including medication safety and patient safety protocols.
