Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  1. Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, involving patients and families in the process.
  2. Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient conditions, adjusting care plans accordingly.

  4. Coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach.
  5. Evaluate outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives.

  8. Provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid RN license issued by the practicing state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 1 year emergency department nursing experience with pediatrics.
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and other movements.
  • Exposure to potential hazards such as chemicals, blood, and body fluids, requiring protective gear.
