Job summary

Newsandtribune is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for its hospital-based unit serving both adult and pediatric patients. You will perform nuclear cardiology and general nuclear medicine procedures, including bone, brain, liver, renal, thyroid, and SPECT imaging, as well as stress testing and PET/liver imaging when indicated.

The role uses Siemens equipment and requires BLS and CNMT/ARRT(N) certification with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

CNMT or ARRT (N) certification required
BLS required
ARRT (N), CNMT, and NMTCB certifications preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the profession required
Skilled in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
Experience with storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials
License required if applicable

Responsibilities

Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine Tech unit serving adult and pediatric patients
Nuclear cardiology and general nuclear medicine procedures including bone, brain, liver, renal, thyroid, and SPECT imaging
Performs stress testing procedures including adenosine infusion, Persantine infusion, pharmacological stress, and thallium stress tests
Additional procedures include HIDA scans, MUGA scans, PET scans, lung scans, and liver/spleen imaging
Uses Siemens equipment
Cerner charting experience preferred
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
On call as needed by facility
Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Local candidates not accepted
