Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(N) certification for a hospital-based role in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology.

Responsibilities include performing a range of imaging studies, using Philips equipment, and documenting in Epic. Involves float to Prisma Health facilities and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
• ARRT(N) and BLS certification required; CNMT and NMTCB certifications preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting supporting adult patients in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology.
• Perform bone scans, lung scans, myocardial studies, renal studies, gastric emptying/HIDA, thyroid and liver/spleen imaging.
• Operate Philips imaging equipment and document with Epic EMR.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio and adhere to safety/PPE protocols.
• Float to Prisma Health facilities as needed to cover census demands.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(N) certification for a hospital-based nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology role.

Requirements

• ARRT(N) and BLS certification required; CNMT and NMTCB certifications preferred
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine
• At least 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Proficient in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Skilled in storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting supporting adult patients in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Float required to another Prisma Health facility to help with census needs
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic for documentation
• Performs bone scans (3-phase, limited, whole body), lung scans (DTPA aerosol, perfusion, ventilation/perfusion), myocardial studies (exercise/rest, pharmacological stress), renal studies (flow/function, perfusion with Lasix), gastric emptying/HIDA scans, thyroid studies (I-123 uptake), and liver/spleen imaging
• Utilizes Philips imaging equipment
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Perform nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology imaging procedures across a range of studies including cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and gastrointestinal scans
• Hunter green scrubs required
• Orientation held every Monday, with annual compliance training required
• Radius eligibility rules apply based on distance from Prisma Health facilities
• First-time travelers may be considered
