Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a hospital setting.

Requirements include ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification, valid state license or compact license where applicable, and familiarity with bone, cardiac, gastric, and pulmonary studies. Employment is in a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department with 5x8 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• AR RT(N) or NMTCB certification required; CNMT preferred.
• Valid state license required in hand at time of submission; compact license accepted if applicable.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department.
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, starting at 7:30 AM.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location.
• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures including bone, cardiac, gastric, and pulmonary studies.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year''s Eve, New Year''s Day).
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront with minimal flexibility post-offer.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required.
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles.
• Former Providence perm staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility.
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate.
• Candidates with Nursys or background check hits will not be accepted.

• Experience with Bone Scans, 3 Phase, Limited and Whole Body studies, Myocardial Exercise/Rest imaging, Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, PET Scan, Thyroid Studies, Uptake Scan, and Lung Ventilation/Perfusion Scan preferred
• Experience with GE and Siemens equipment preferred
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, and storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials
