Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment in North Dakota. Responsibilities include performing nuclear imaging for diverse age groups and potentially PET/CT cross-training, using Siemens Symbia, Epic, and SECTRA PACS.

The position features a 40-hour week (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) with on-call duties and holidays coverage. Qualifications require a minimum of 2 years’ experience, NMTCB CNMT or ARRT CNMT certification, and BLS, with ND state license

Responsibilities

• Maintain day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 40 hours/week.
• On-call one week every 5 weeks with hospital staff support.
• Adhere to NRC rules and radiation safety standards.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
• NMTCB CNMT or ARRT CNMT certification required
• BLS certification required
• ND state license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 2 trauma facility with a 2-room Nuclear Medicine unit
• Performs nuclear imaging procedures on inpatients and outpatients across all age groups, from neonate to geriatric
• May be cross-trained to perform PET/CT scans, though not required
• Uses Siemens Symbia cameras, Epic charting, and SECTRA PACS
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• On-call responsibility one week every 5 weeks, working alone but with hospital staff available for support
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures, calculation and administration of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, and adjunctive medications
• Adheres to NRC rules, regulations, and radiation safety standards while operating cameras and equipment
• Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutic dosages under physician direction
• Monitors patient condition during imaging procedures and provides quality images for physician diagnosis
• Unit-specific training includes PACS and Epic training
• Dark gray or gray scrubs required
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates who previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Does not accept local candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
