Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. The NMT will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, perform imaging, and support physicians. Candidates must have 1 year of experience, BLS, ARRT(N) registration or NMTCB-CNMT, and state licensing where required.

The role involves patient prep, safety, and operation of scanners. Pay is provided for 40 hours weekly with shifts of 8 hours days; travel stipends may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians.
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures.
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
