Job summary

Focus Staff in Baltimore, MD is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week, travel contract. The role requires nights on a 3x12 schedule, totaling 36 hours per week, in a NICU setting.

Start date is 12/07/2026 and is aimed at delivering high-quality patient care during this period. The candidate will collaborate with physicians, nurses and other therapists to develop and implement patient plans of care, with potential crisis-rate considerations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR/BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
