Job summary

Acuren is seeking a UTSW Technician to support operations in Indianapolis, IN. This is a callout/travel position requiring hands-on NDT testing and collaboration with client teams.

The role requires a technical background in NDT and current certifications (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR), with a minimum of five years field experience. Travel to various sites is expected, and the candidate may supervise others as needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience performing NDT tasks and interpreting inspection results.
• Current NDT certifications in UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must be comfortable with travel and field work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Establish examination techniques and ensure safety compliance.
• Apply testing criteria per standards and evaluate results.
• Identify, track and mitigate risk on client engagements.
• Review asset documentation and inspection data.
• Complete integrity assessments including site walkdowns.
• Prepare project reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• Develop techniques for customer certifying agents.
• May instruct and supervise others.
• Interface with customers regarding schedules and problem solving.
• Use applicable software and equipment.
