Job summary

Acuren is seeking a PAUT/TOFD Technician to support operational needs on a travel basis across multiple sites. The role requires strong NDT expertise, current certifications, and the ability to work with customers and teams in dynamic environments.

Applicants should have a HS diploma with technical NDT background and relevant UT/PAUT experience. Travel may be required, and safety standards must be adhered to on all projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred for advanced opportunities.
• Technical background in NDT methods with five years of experience is expected.
• Current NDT certifications in UT/UTPA/PAUT/CR/DR etc. are required.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Establish examination techniques and ensure safety compliance.
• Apply testing criteria per specs and evaluate results.
• Identify and mitigate risk on client engagements.
• Review asset documentation and inspection data.
• Complete integrity assessments including site walkdowns.
• Prepare project reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• Perform specialized inspections and mentor others when needed.
• Interface with customers regarding schedules and problem solving.
• Possibly supervise others and support customer certifying agents.
• Adhere to ASME and API requirements for continued serviceability.
• Understand health and safety policies and procedures.
• Utilize applicable software and equipment.
