Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for an academic medical center in Rochester, MN. The role requires ARRT(MR) certification, active MR license if applicable, and 1–2 years of MRI staff experience.

You will perform Neuro, Abdominal, and MSK MRI imaging on a Neuro unit within Radiology, with a 13-week assignment on day or evening shifts, using Epic for charting and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance (MR) required.
• Active MR license required if applicable.
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program required.
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience as a staff tech required, 2 years preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Must demonstrate competence with a variety of equipment and technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently in an organized, efficient, and multifunctional manner.

Responsibilities

• MRI Neuro unit within Radiology department at an academic medical center.
• Performs Neuro, Abdominal, and Musculoskeletal (MSK) MRI imaging.
• 13-week assignment with Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts.
• Day shift options of 6:30AM-3PM or 8:30AM-5PM, or evening shift 2PM-10:30PM.
• No rotation required between day and evening shifts.
• No call, no overnights, and no holiday coverage required.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images meeting departmental imaging standards.
• Practices safety guidelines for self, staff, and patients.
• Fosters teamwork through effective communication.
• Works in a high-acuity academic medical center environment.
• Candidates should be adaptable and team-oriented.
• COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility.
