Qualifications

• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Operate GE MRI equipment and PACS; ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Communicate with inpatient and ED teams; document in charting.
• Work 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with no weekends or on-call required.
• May rotate shifts based on operational needs.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of clinical experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification to work in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting.

• Day/evening shift, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, primary hours 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• May be scheduled other shifts based on operational need
• Primary work locations include 600 Highland Avenue and 621 Science Drive in Madison, WI
• No weekends or call required
• Floating required as needed
• Adult and pediatric patient populations across acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings
• Performs MRI exams including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging
• Utilizes GE MRI equipment and PACS system
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical MRI experience required
• ARRT (MR) certification or ARMRIT required; license required if applicable
• AHA BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts preferred
• Ability to independently and confidently communicate with inpatient and ED teams preferred

Additional Information

• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification
• Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center
