Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ years of experience and ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification to work varied inpatient and outpatient shifts using multiple GE and Hitachi scanners.

Details

• Rotating schedule of Saturday/Sunday 8am-8pm and Tuesday/Wednesday 3pm-11pm, totaling 40 hours per week
• Works with both inpatient and outpatient populations across adult acute care, ICU, ER/Trauma, and pediatric settings
• Performs scans on patients with implanted devices, including non-conditional pacemakers
• Responsible for transporting patients after hours
• Comfortable scanning pediatric and sedated patients
• Uses GE 1.5 Signa EchoSpeed, GE 1.5 Signa Voyager, GE 3T Signa Excite, and Hitachi (Fuji) Oasis Open Air equipment
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Epic EMR experience requiredSkilled in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures
• Experience with MRA, MRV, MRCP, and CINE flow studies
• Proficient in cardiac and pulmonary MRI, with and without contrast
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Familiar with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Considers first-time travelers for this position
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Allied health modules typically take 2-3 hours to complete and are done onsite during orientation
