American Traveler in Bellingham, Washington is seeking an MRI Technologist for a travel assignment. The position is 13 weeks long, with evenings (3x12 hours) and a 36-hour workweek in a community hospital setting. Call required once per week.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of MRI experience, ARRT and BLS certs, and WA license (if applicable). Epic EMR experience is required, and trauma level II experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required; ARRT(MR) preferred.
• Washington license required if applicable; license in hand expected within ~10 weeks.
• Community hospital experience; Level II trauma experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Imaging skills for abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, MSK.
• Ability to float within the health system as needed.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years.
• No more than one DUI.

Details

• MRI Tech unit within a community hospital setting
• Evening shift, 3x12 hours from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Call required once per week on Saturdays
• Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must be willing to float within the health system as operationally necessary

Requirements

• Washington state license required if applicable, license in hand expected within approximately 10 weeks
• Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in abdomen and pelvis imaging, including abdominal MRA/MRV, MRCP, female and male pelvis imaging
• Experience with head and neck imaging, including brain, cranial nerves, face/soft tissue neck, and head MRA/MRV
• Spine imaging skills including cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic, and spinal trauma
• Proficiency with special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, and spin echo images
• Musculoskeletal imaging experience including foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, and long bones
• Professional skills including isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
• Full work history with any gaps explained required
• Must not have more than one DUI

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted if candidate has 2+ years of experience in Level I or II trauma settings
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted within 60 miles of the facility
• RTO must be disclosed at submission and approved prior to contract signing, with up to 3 days allowed for auto-offer positions
• No additional RTO will be approved after the contract is signed
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if Washington license is pending
• Fully vaccinated status must be disclosed
• Occasional floating to other facilities within the health system may be required
