Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification for an evening shift contract role.

Details

• Work in a dynamic MRI department with six scanners (currently operating five), including GE and Siemens systems
• Evening shift schedule Monday-Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Weekly census of 250-300 patients
• Treat outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients including those with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• No floating required outside of the MRI unit
• Weekend rotation of maximum every 3rd weekend with on-call Saturday and Sunday nights from 2100-0630
• Backup on-call required Saturday and Sunday from 0630-2100 with 30 minute response time
• Weekend on-call occurs approximately once every 8 weeks with a compensatory weekday off
• Rotating weekly responsibility for first-shift backup on-call

Requirements

• 3-5 years of MRI experience required
• BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS required
• Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac patient populations preferred
• Breast MRI, Breast MRI Biopsy, and Cardiac MRI experience preferred
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in MRI, with most recent experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Traveler will never work alone on the unit
• 3 days of orientation provided
