  Description

  American Traveler is hiring a night shift MRI Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring 2+ years experience and ARRT(MR) certification.

  Details

  • Level 1 trauma acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/MRI department
  • Covers outpatient, inpatient, and ED patient populations
  • 12-hour night shifts, mostly Wednesday through Friday
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week with 12 non-billable orientation hours
  • Floating required across outpatient, inpatient, and ED areas
  • 1 weekend per month required with possible holiday coverage
  • No call or standby requirement
  • Uses GE 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W) MRI scanners
  • MRI Tech assistant (RRA) provided at a ratio of 1 per 8-hour shift
  • Charting and PACS system is Epic

  Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
  • BLS (AHA) and ARRT(MR) certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Knowledge of GE MRI scanner operation, MRI safety guidelines, and standard acquisition sequences
  • Must be able to start IVs
  • Epic EMR experience requiredNegative drug screen required for all panels

  Additional Information

  • Operate GE MRI scanners for outpatient, inpatient, and ED exams
  • Department-specific orientation is approximately 1 week, depending on familiarity with GE scanner type
  • Scrubs are not provided; standard solid-colored scrubs required and tattoos must be covered
  • Cancellation policy allows up to 12 hours per 13 weeks with no penalty
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for a reduced local pay rate
  • No radius restriction on eligibility for the position
