Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service products across multiple stores in the North Charleston area. You will travel between accounts, keeping displays current and following planograms, with assigned weekday routes and a travel-heavy schedule.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a retail environment. Background checks and MVR clearance are required.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products in stores following store/corporate standards.
• Replenish product safely and efficiently; may assemble shelves or displays.
• Service assigned stores per schedule; obtain approval before overtime.
• Record work hours and other information using designated apps.
• Discuss unlisted duties with Supervisor before performing them.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
