Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field coordination and supervise subcontracted crews on commercial projects. You will drive scheduling, quality control, safety, and daily field operations to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in commercial construction, prior supervisory roles, and strong communication and teamwork skills to guide multiple crews and interact with clients and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience supervising foreman/field engineers or assistant superintendents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains accurate reports on status.
• Oversees timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews progress with the Project Manager and client representatives and coordinates large projects with multiple superintendents.
• Enforces safety standards and ensures tools and equipment are used safely.
• Directs subcontractor activities and analyzes manpower, material, and equipment needs.
• Implements and enforces field policies, procedures, and work rules.
