Job summary

Community Hospital in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Medical Lab Scientist for a 13-week travel assignment running 40 hours weekly on the night shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). ASCP/AMT MLS certification is required, with MT/MLT eligibility and national licensure preferred.

The candidate will perform testing across high complexity areas, maintain QA/QC and carry out reporting, while adhering to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety policies. 42 CFR and training requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy in all test results.
• Proficient with computers and multiple LIS/LIMS systems.
• Experience with QC/QA processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow lab procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and record keeping.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure correct testing of controls.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures per SOPs.
• Review and release test results with accuracy.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
