MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Lab Scientist for a travel job in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This contract role runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, featuring 10-hour shifts in the evenings and nights.

The position requires active ASCP/AMT/HEW/AAB certification and 18 months of Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician experience, with potential license requirements. As a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, MedPro offers comprehensive credentialing

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.
• Need to have a basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment to obtain information.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure levels of drugs or other chemicals in the blood to ensure therapeutic levels.
• Assess chemical content of blood to determine nutrient deficiencies or cholesterol/blood sugar excesses.
• Follow lab protocols for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results.
