Job summary

American Oncology Management Company seeks a Medical Assistant/Lab Assistant to support physicians in a high-demand oncology clinic. You will perform phlebotomy, lab testing, essential quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance in a fast-paced setting.

You will handle specimen processing, prepare slides, document findings in Onco/EMR, and assist with procedures such as bone marrow aspirates and pelvic exams. Travel to other clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification or equivalent required.
• Venipuncture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing with quality control.
• Conduct blood work and prepare slides for evaluation.
• Document results in EMR and maintain logs and checklists.
• Assist physicians with procedures and patient care.
• Coordinate outside lab testing and specimen handling.
