Job summary

You will assist with allergy testing procedures under physician supervision, manage medications with authorization, update the EHR, and uphold HIPAA privacy while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Clinical assistant responsibilities including vitals and history intake.
• Proficiency with EHR for medical record updates.
• Ability to follow physician orders and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, record medical history and chief complaints in the EHR.
• Measure and document vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Administer medications with physician authorization.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and exam rooms; clean and sterilize instruments.
• Check and respond to patient calls; coordinate with providers.
• Review requests and prior authorizations for medications.
• Assist with allergy testing procedures under physician supervision and respond to emergencies with RN/LVN as needed.
• Participate in training and promote patient engagement and outreach.
• Escalate workflow or safety concerns; support reduction of paper processes.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
