Allergy & ENT Associates in Plano, TX is seeking a patient-focused clinical support team member. The role supports exam preparation, testing, and patient outreach in a fast-paced allergy/ENT clinic.

You will interview patients, record histories in the EHR, assist with screenings, and educate patients about medications per provider guidance, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

Formación

• Familiar with medical terminology and ability to interview patients and document medical information.
• Expose to routine clinical screening and exam room preparation.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients while recording and updating medical information in the EHR.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Provide patient education regarding medications and provider instructions.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician authorization.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, stocks, and prepare exam rooms for patients.
• Clean and sterilize instruments.
• Review and prepare requests and prior authorizations for medications.
• Familiar with signs and symptoms of allergy testing systemic reactions and emergency protocols.
• Escalate patient or workflow concerns to leadership with constructive solutions.
• Promote fully electronic workflows and reduce manual paper processes.
