Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the patient care team at the Rome General Administration location. You will perform rooming, vitals, point-of-care testing, and document in the EHR, while helping maintain patient flow and prepare exam rooms.

This role requires a High school diploma or MA certification or equivalent, certification within 90 days, and the ability to travel within five county radius with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and MA certificate or equivalent.
• MA certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA) within 90 days of hire.
• Current state license if LPN path is chosen.
• Experience with EMR and patient education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient rooming, vitals, point-of-care testing and EHR documentation.
• Maintain patient flow, stock exam rooms and assist with procedures.
• Perform computer functions: medication reconciliation, coding, orders and scheduling.
