Job summary

The ideal candidate will have MA training, BLS, 2 years of office experience, and be fluent in English and Spanish. Travel may be required; familiarity with EMR and practice IS systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience in a busy physician office preferred
• Travel required; valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
• BLS required within first 90 days of employment
• Bilingual, English/Spanish required
• Must read/write/speak English
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
• Physician office experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform basic administrative medical assisting functions
• Obtain patient history, chief complaint, and vital signs
• Schedule, coordinate, and monitor appointments
• Assist physician with in-office procedures
• Maintain patient files and test results
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as needed
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance practices
