Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Pulaski, Tennessee.

Position is travel, 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12‑hour night shifts. Requirements include 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS; additional certifications may be required before starting. The role involves bedside care, patient education, and collaboration with physicians to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection.
• Perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered.
• Document findings and educate families.
• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record medications; report adverse reactions.
• Assist with dressing changes, catheter insertions and IV starts.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and discharge plans.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
