Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Tennessee. This assignment supports acute care patients in a fast-paced Med Surg unit on a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week and a 12-hour night shift.

Immediate deployment requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and a current RN license. As a Med/Surg Travel Nurse, you will perform bedside assessments, administer medications, change dressings, assist with procedures, and educate patients

Qualifications

• RN with Med Surg specialty and 1+ year of acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med Surg patients (pre- and post-op).
• Administer prescribed medications and record administrations.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
