Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts available are Nights with pay up to $672–$768 per shift (equivalent to $56–$64 per hour).

The role involves direct patient care, department operations, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes. Requires active RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, plus at least one year as a charge nurse in Med Surg.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• One year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
