Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift in Indiana on a travel assignment. Requires 2+ years Med/Surg experience and an IN or compact RN license. BLS/ACLS current. Telemetry monitoring and drips titration experience expected.

The unit features 11 beds with 1:4 to 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios. Night shifts are 7p–7a; travelers may float to ER/ICU/OB and must be ready for holidays and on‑call rotations. MEDITECH EMR used on the unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IN state or compact required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required.
• Previous Med/Surg experience required.
• Experience titrating drips required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg unit with 11 beds; nurse to patient ratio 1:4 or 1:5.
• Telemetry monitoring; read and interpret strips.
• RNs titrate drips including Heparin and occasionally Amiodarone.
• Night shift: 3x12s, 7p–7a; travel nurses on a weekend rotation.
• May float to ER/ICU/OB for overflow; travelers float first.
