Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana. This Med/Surg RN assignment requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, 12-hour nights, and 48 hours per week, with an 8-week duration.

You will perform bedside care, administer meds, and educate patients and families in a fast-paced travel setting. Candidates must hold ACLS and BLS, with NIH certification and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS required; NIH certification mentioned in job notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med/Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Assist during examinations and treatments; educate patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
