Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana. The role is 13 weeks long, working 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift in the OBSERVATION (MEDSURG) unit with cross-campus floatability and required EPIC charting.

Required: current compact license, AHA BLS, NIHSS, and 2 years Med/Surg experience including at least one travel assignment. No local candidates within 40 miles; travel assignment with 40-mile radius rule applies.

Qualifications

• Current active compact nursing license.
• AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience; 1 travel assignment; trauma level II experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg RN care on OBSERVATION (MEDSURG) unit.
• Care for chest pain, abdominal pain, CVA/TIA and related conditions.
• Document and chart in EPIC; participate in required cross-campus float.
