TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Homewood, Alabama. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and NIH certifications as applicable, with a 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, and a 12-hour night shift.

The ideal candidate will provide bedside care, administer medications, assist with procedures, and support discharge planning while adapting to a fast-paced Med/Surg environment in Homewood, AL.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 1-2 years acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med/Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs; assist during examinations.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning and education.
• Document findings accurately; support physician orders and care plans.
