Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Med/Surg RN in Homewood, Alabama with ASAP start for a 13-week assignment. Shifts are 12 hours at night, 36 hours per week, and travel employment. The RN should have 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS; additional certifications may be required.

Duties include bedside care, meds, documentation, and education. TotalMed RN offers staffing across all states, with a focus on matching clinical expertise to facilities, ensuring patient care and staffing adequacy

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients including pre/post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication.
• Change dressings, start IVs, and monitor patient responses.
• Document findings and assist with discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and care plans.
