Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Med Surg RN for a 14-week assignment in Augusta, GA. You will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, delivering high-quality care in a Med Surg unit and telemetry setting.

The role requires 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, current RN license, and BLS certification. NIHSS/ACLS preferred; travel benefits include comprehensive medical, PTO, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist during procedures
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Document patient information in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create care plans
• Manage multiple patients based on acuity and needs
• Ensure infection control practices are followed
• Facilitate discharge planning and transitions from hospital to home
