Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 17-week travel assignment in Augusta, GA. You will provide high-quality Med Surg care in a fast-paced hospital environment, with night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a competitive compensation package.

Required is one year of Med Surg RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS. NIHSS/ACLS certifications are preferred, and licensure reimbursement is offered.

Qualifications

• One year of Med Surg RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians during treatments
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients post-procedure
• Document vital signs, medications, treatments, and care outcomes in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans
• Manage multiple patients with prioritization based on acuity
• Ensure infection control practices including PPE and hand hygiene
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences in the care plan
• Coordinate discharge planning for smooth transition from hospital to home
• Perform other duties within scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
