Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Med Surg RN for a travel nurse assignment in Augusta, GA. This 13-week position offers 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts, and travel compensation.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and are prepared to support patients undergoing surgery and recovery. Responsibilities include bedside care, med administration, dressings, and education for families.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Assist with discharge planning and education as prescribed by physician.
