Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient mammography department. The role requires 2+ years of specialty experience and ARRT certification, with emphasis on 3D mammography, diagnostic and screening exams.

You will work 5x8 hour day shifts with rotating start times, weekends on the first Saturday, and may travel to an off-site imaging center for emergencies. ARRT(M)/(R), BLS, MQSA CEUs required; licensure if applicable; GE/Hologic/Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in mammography.
• ARRT M and ARRT R certifications required; BLS required.
• MQSA qualifications with 15 CEUs in 36 months.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with outpatient mammography, 3D mammo and diagnostic/screening exams.
• Familiar with PPE, radiation safety and universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient mammography department serving adult and geriatric patients.
• Average daily census of ~15 patients across 2 rooms.
• 5x8 hour day shifts with rotating start times (7:30–8:30) and end times (4:00–5:00).
• Weekend rotation includes the first Saturday (7:30–11:30).
• Floating to an off-site imaging center for emergency coverage.
• No on-call requirements; Epic charting system is used.
• Perform mammography procedures including 3D, diagnostic and screening, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsies.
• Approximately 24 hours orientation; local rate differential applies.

• FDA/MQSA qualification required with current MQSA continuing education (15 CEUs within a 36-month period)
• License required if applicable
• Outpatient mammography, 3D mammography, diagnostic mammogram, and screening mammogram experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, universal precautions, and management/lead duties required
• Needle localization and stereotactic biopsy experience preferred
• DEXA experience preferred
• GE, Hologic 3D, and Hologic Aff BX equipment experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred

• Orientation consists of approximately 24 hours
• Pewter/gray scrub color required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted with a local rate differential
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate consideration
