Job summary

Responsibilities

Perform inpatient and outpatient mammography procedures
Work Monday–Friday, 5x8 hour days, 8:00–16:30
Perform 3D, diagnostic, screening mammograms and biopsies
Utilize Hologic 3D, PACS and Synapse/Hologic systems
Epic EMR experience preferred
Float between sister facilities as needed
Support radiation safety protocols and PPE usage
Submit travel requests and coordinate scheduling in advance

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification to perform mammography procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience required
ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification preferred
BLS certification required
CA state license required (license required if applicable)
Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Prior travel assignment experience required
Skilled in digital quality assurance procedures, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and universal precautions/core measures
Ability to teach breast self-exams preferred
Management or lead experience a plus

Responsibilities

Inpatient and outpatient work settings
Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, screening mammograms, stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localizations
Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic systems
Epic EMR experience preferred
Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
Responsibilities include performing a range of mammography procedures and supporting radiation safety protocols
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; requests made after submission or offer may not be granted
Candidates may only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3 month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to qualify for full travel bill rate
Background checks with Nursys or BG hits are not accepted by this facility
