Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of mammography experience and ARRT (Mammography) certification for outpatient screening and diagnostic imaging.

The role requires BLS, an Illinois IEMA license if applicable, and travel availability; you will work in an acute care hospital setting with a typical 30–40 patient daily caseload and a mix of bone density studies, stereotactic and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years mammography experience required.
• ARRT (Mammography) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Illinois IEMA license required if applicable.
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
• Community hospital experience required.
• DEXA experience is a plus.
• Must perform post-clip exams.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient screening and diagnostic mammography, including bone density studies.
• Performs stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies, magseed and wire localization placements, and post-clip placement procedures.
• Average caseload of 30-40 patients per day.
• 5x8 day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, with variable hours.
• Rotating Saturday coverage required approximately every 6th week.
• No on-call requirements.
• No floating outside of scope required.
• Meditech charting experience highly preferred, though training is provided during orientation.
• Free parking available in designated employee lots.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• Finalized RTO must be submitted with the candidate profile, with no time off during the first week of the assignment and a maximum of 10 days of RTO per assignment.
• Former Anderson Healthcare employees are not eligible to return as travelers.

• Will not be required to perform biopsies or localization exams
• Community hospital experience required
