Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a Breast Center with day shifts. The role requires 1+ year of mammography experience, ARRT licensing where applicable, and BLS certification. You will operate GE equipment, document in EPIC EMR, and support MQSA quality standards.

The position offers a consistent 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, no weekend, no on-call duties, and opportunities to assist with biopsies and specialized procedures under radiologist supervision.

Qualifications

• ARRT(M) license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Mammography
• QA/QC experience preferred
• Assist radiologist with special procedures, needle localizations, and biopsies
• Ability to perform QC on stereo unit

Responsibilities

• Outpatient Breast Center setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses GE mammography equipment
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• 5x8 day shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend hours required
• No call requirements
• No float requirements
• Performs mammography procedures including patient positioning, image acquisition, and equipment operation per department protocol
• Assists radiologist with special procedures, needle localizations, and biopsies
• Responsible for portions of MQSA quality standards including processor QA and screen film testing
• Assists in department orientation and training of new staff as needed
• Collaborates with staff and physicians to coordinate scheduling and ensure optimal patient care
• Prepares and stocks exam rooms, cleans equipment and patient areas between patients
• Black scrubs required; no other colors permitted
• Works fair share of weekends and demonstrates flexibility with scheduling needs
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
