Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a hospital-based cancer center. The candidate should have 2+ years of mammography experience and ARRT-M certification, with a state license if applicable. The position supports a team of five technologists and on-site radiologists, operating weekdays with no weekend shifts.

The role uses Cerner EMR, GE PACS, and Hologic equipment, and includes travel-friendly benefits, housing allowances, and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography.
• BLS and ARRT-M certification required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Proficiency with screening mammography required.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Cancer Center, located on campus and connected to the Main Hospital.
• Operate mammography unit with 3 beds and manage an average census of 50 patients per day.
• Screen, diagnose, perform biopsies and stereotactic biopsies using upright and table units.
• Utilize Cerner EMR, GE PACS, and Hologic mammography equipment.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no weekends.

• Mammography unit with 3 beds and an average census of 50 patients per day
• Patient population is mostly adult females, with occasional males and younger females
• Perform screenings, diagnostics, biopsies, and stereotactic biopsies using both upright and table units
• Uses Cerner EMR, GE PACS, and Hologic mammography equipment
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• Facility closes for holidays
• No floating required unless familiar with Dexa scans
• Work alongside a team of 5 mammography technologists, a manager/supervisor, and on-site radiologists
• Facility provides 24/7 support including Rapid Response/Code Team, RT, Hospitalist, and Intensivist coverage
• Orientation includes NEO followed by unit-specific training during the first week
• Scrubs must be any solid professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available on site
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
