Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Mammography Technologist for a 26-week travel assignment in Santa Rosa, CA. The role is 40 hours per week with 10-hour days, and requires ARRT(M) and BLS certification along with state licensing where needed.

The Mammo Tech will operate mammography units and ensure image accuracy before radiologist review. The position emphasizes quality imaging, patient comfort, proper documentation, and use of the McKesson PACS system, with travel benefits and a tax-free stipend subject

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results.
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
