Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for an assignment in Emeryville, California. This role is 13 weeks long, with 40 hours per week, daytime shifts, and travel employment status.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of Mammography experience, ARRT (M) certification, BLS, and state licensing as required. The Mammo Tech will operate a mammography unit, ensure image accuracy, and coordinate with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of Mammography experience.
• ARRT (M) certification and BLS; state licensing where required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures.
• Interpret doctors' written instructions for imaging.
• Conduct mammography studies and adjust for optimum results.
• Develop mammograms and forward to radiologist for interpretation.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and accurate records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
• Meet established standards for quality control of mammograms.
