Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Rheumatology outpatient clinic in Rapid City. Requires 1+ year ambulatory clinic experience and ambulatory EPIC proficiency. LPN license and BLS required. Epic charting experience essential.

Clinic operates 8:00am–5:00pm with 40 hours weekly. Travel-friendly facility; no weekend or on-call duties. Housing and licensure reimbursements available as part of traveler benefits.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license required if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Completion of an accredited nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience required.
• Rheumatology experience required.
• Experience rooming patients in an ambulatory setting.
• Ambulatory EPIC charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory clinic setting within a Rheumatology department.
• Clinic hours of operation are 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• 8-hour day shift schedule, 40 hours per week.
• No weekend rotation, on-call requirements, or holiday coverage required.
• May occasionally float within the clinic.
• Support staff includes MA/CA, LPN, RN, MD, and APP, with in-house lab and radiology services.
• Responsibilities include rooming patients and supporting clinical workflow within the Rheumatology clinic.
• Orientation is dependent on specialty.
• Scrub color requirement is navy blue for RN/LPN staff.
• Free parking available in designated areas.
• Time off requests require supervisor approval.
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.
• Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler.
• Facility is known for being very traveler-friendly and frequently renews travel contracts.
