Description

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for an inpatient rehabilitation unit, requiring an active LPN license, BLS, and 1-2 years of hospital experience.

Details

• Work in a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital on a 14 or 12 bed unit
• Treats patients age 18 and older recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
• Patient ratios of 1:7 for RNs, 1:10 for LPNs, and 1:12 for techs (CNA)
• Uses on-site equipment including EKG machine and bladder scanner
• Cerner EMR used
• Day shift schedule Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Requirements

• Active LPN license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only, cannot expire in same month as start date)
• 1-2 years of recent LPN experience required
• Hospital experience required
• Rehab experience preferred
• Minimum ADN-level education for LPN
• Common diagnoses include amputee, stroke, and hip and knee replacement patients
• Critical thinking skills required
• Proof of flu and COVID vaccination required with no exceptions
• Explanation required for any gaps in work history of 3 months or more

• Does not accept candidates local to the facility
• 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted for this travel position
