Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a travel assignment in Dubuque, IA. Day shift, 6a–6p at a long-term care facility, starting 09/28/2026 for multiple weeks with guaranteed 36 hours weekly and competitive weekly pay.

The role focuses on direct patient care, med administration, and teamwork with the nursing staff. Eligible candidates will hold an LPN license, have CPR/BLS, and show strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
CPR/BLS certification (or equivalent).
Graduation from an approved LPN program.
Ability to work day shift and participate in a travel assignment.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct, patient-centered care to long-term care residents under supervision of a registered nurse.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments as delegated and per policy.
Monitor resident conditions, document vital signs and responses, report changes to the supervising nurse.
Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility to support independence.
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment with infection control and safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with the care team, participate in care planning and daily rounds.
