Job summary

TeamLINX is seeking a Travel Low Voltage Technician III in Montgomery, AL. The role requires 100% travel within the US and a minimum of 3 years of commercial low voltage installation experience.

You will perform ISP/OSP work, install CAT5e/6/6a, fiber, and coax cabling, and test using OTDRs and Fluke devices. Join a team that designs and maintains commercial network cabling for data centers, with full-time travel supported by the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial low voltage installation experience.
• Ability to travel 100% full-time across the USA.
• Experience operating OTDR and Fluke Loss Test equipment for fiber testing.
• Able to terminate a jack, pull cable and work a 90 with no supervision.
• Able to install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems with no supervision.
• Able to build out MDF/IDF closets with racks, panels, and wire management.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber, coax) with proper documentation.
• Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks and patch panels.
• Use OTDRs and Fluke testers for fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Follow BICSI standards, NEC, and local regulations for safety and compliance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and professional workmanship on installations.
• Travel to job sites within Alabama and nationwide as required.
